Policy resolving international issues around the drug cartel

Statement of the problem

The central issue of discussion in this research paper is foreign policy on drug trafficking organizations. The case of Mexico and Afghanistan offers an insight into the rising international conflicts from drug trafficking. The issue of drug cartel is an emerging threat to the US economic development. The upsurge in drug trafficking organizations in the neighboring Mexico is interfering with the two countries’ foreign relations. The issue constitutes increased violence perpetrated by the drug cartels, financing of rebels like the Taliban, undermining economic policing through contraband goods supply and diplomatic conflicts.
